| | Terms of payment: 30% total amount of the contract must be prepaied after the signing date of this contract, then 70% balance of the contract must be prepaied befor shipment. 个人感觉你们的合同条款不是很严密，给你提供一个更严密的： T/T Payment shall be effected：30% total amount of the contract within 5 working days after the signing date of this contract, then 70% balance of the contract within 30 days after receipt of the documents stipulated under Clause 9 of this contract． 以电汇方式付款：合同签订后5个工作日内买方付合同金额30%，接到本合同第九条所规定的单据后，于30天之内付清其余70%合同款.

| 可是我记得在合同中定金和预付款可不是一个概念.所以翻译成英文也要注意.30%到底是down payment 还是 prepaid payment要搞清楚.

如果交了定金，客户毁约就不用退还定金，但是如果是收定金的违约，得双倍返还吧
