1. Definition 
Surrender Bill, not designated for a special type of the B/L, can be defined as the non-negotiable B/L that is extinguished its negotiability, as shipper submits the O.B/L to the transport company with the signature of his own. 
Generally speaking, to surrender the B/L means that the shipper in the POL, not sending the original B/L to the consignee in the POD, submits the O.B/L to the shipping liners. Therefore, the cargo can be released to the consignee in the POD without the presentation of the original B/L. 

 
2. Procedure 
Customer returns the original B/L which has been issued, to Korea Marine Transport Co., or to his agents in the POL, after endorsing it or presenting a separate form of request.
