and our interest in China 
follows: 

C-Vision is a Canadian owned and operated electronics design and 
manufacturing services company based in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada. Our 
Amherst operation consists of a 55,000 square foot, state of the art 
facility. The facility was established in 1973 and has been under the 
current ownership since 2002. We are ISO 9001:2000 certified and have a 
lead-free manufacturing readiness program in place (in compliance with RoHS 
and WEEE). 

C-Vision provides OEMs with a one-stop source for electronic and mechanical 
design and manufacturing services. We provide our customers with a complete 
end to end solution -from design, through supply chain and materials 
management, to manufacturing, testing, and fulfillment. 

C-Vision specializes in high mix, medium volume production of printed 
circuit board assemblies (through-hole, SMT, mixed), complete box-builds, 
modular electronics assembly, and cable assemblies. New product 
introduction (NPI) is a specialty. We also offer our customers a wide range 
of innovative value-added services. 

Users of C-Vision's manufacturing and design services are OEMs which use 
printed circuit board technology in their end product (e.g. controls, data 
acquisition, etc.). Users span a wide range of industries including the 
telecommunications, electronics, electrical, marine, aerospace, military, 
medical, gaming, and HVAC sectors. 

China is an increasingly important market for electronics manufacturing, 
particulary for high volume electronics assembly. Many large OEMs worldwide 
are evaluating their supply chains for printed circuit board assembly, box 
builds and cable assemblies. Many of these same OEMs recognize the inherent 
challenges (time difference, logistics, transit time, sheer distance from 
market) of manufacturing in China and often choose to select a combination 
of Chinese produced and North American produced printed circuit board and 
cable assemblies. 

While C-Vision specializes in high mix, small to medium sized production 
runs, Chinese contract manufacturers tend to focus on large volume, low mix 
production. By partnering with a contract manufacturer based in China, we 
are thereby able to provide a complete service package over the total volume 
spectrum. 

C-Vision would consider a partnering arrangement that could take many forms. 
We would consider joint venture, direct investment / acquisition, as well as 
an agency type agreement. Initially, we would approach this as a strict 
supplier relationship (as you suggested) until a comfort level is achieved. 
For those contract manufacturers in China that are producing their own 
products (e.g. ODM), we would also consider a licensing arrangement to 
manufacture these products in Canada and/or the ability to gain the 
distribution rights for these products. We would also consider final 
assembly in Canada to facilitate local or North American content 
requirements. 

We are seeking an electronics contract manufacturer that is capable of large 
scale, high speed production runs (printed circuit board assemblies and 
cable harnesses). They should be able to provide both PTH (through-hole) 
and SMT (surface mount) assemblies. An equipment list would need to be 
reviewed by C-Vision to determine compatibility with our needs. The Chinese 
contract manufacturer should also be able to provide in-circuit and 
functional testing where required. 

The ideal partner will also be a specialist in supply chain management, 
including sourcing of low cost, high quality components for turnkey 
production builds (bare boards, passive and active components, etc.). 

We would prefer a partner located in Guandong province. We would also 
require references from existing OEM clients. 

Finally, we also request your assistance in identifying potential suppliers 
of the following products: 
-printed circuit boards (bare boards) 
-high quality, competitively priced passive and active electronics 
components
