Notwithstanding the rule referred to in Article 14(D) of UCP 500 dealing with the procedures to be adopted by banks in the process of refusing discrepant documents, with particular reference of placing the documents at the disposal of, or returning them to the presenter, we shall, unless we are instructed otherwise in the remitting schedule, release the discrepant documents to the applicant, without further reference to the presenter, in the event the applicant decides to take up the discrepant documents thereafter.
